A man is sitting at home watching TV late one night when there’s a knock at the front door. The man angrily answers the door to find a six-foot stag beetle standing on the step. After asking the beetle what the hell he thinks he is playing at calling at such a late hour the creature lays into him with a series of vicious kicks and punches. It then walks away and the man crawls back inside his house and calls an ambulance.

At the hospital the man is relunctant to tell the doctor how he came about his injuries, but relays the incredible tale of the stag beetle, expecting to be laughed at. To his surprize the doctor is sympathetic, explaining to the man that there is a nasty bug going about.
